Once you’re finished, scroll all the way down to the camera calibration section and lift the 10 to 5 and bring down the green hue to minus 12 and a blue hue to minus 26.
Editing In Photoshop…
Okay.. That was super easy but it was just the beginning all we did was to get the correct skin color .Now open the exported image in Photoshop. Play the simple frequency separation action .
We’re gonna do retouch on the skin.
First clean the skin with a Spot Healing Brush tool ,while selecting the high-frequency layer. That’s important. Touch the blemishes and unnecessary small details of the skin
and once you’re done that, go to the low-frequency layer, select the mixer brush tool . Make the brush settings into something that is lower than 50% or you can set it like mine.
Now start painting on the things you want to soften. Change the brush size ,depending on what you’re painting. This will give the skin a real smooth a detailed look.
Now that we’re finished.
Create a new layer.
Set the blending mode to soft light .To go to the box that appears on the bottom. Name this layer dodge. Pick the Dodge tool set the exposure to 9 and start painting on the highlights. Don’t over do it it will look weird. Just a nice little touch with dude.
Now paint on the fairy lights to give the area and more light .Maybe you can draw some hair but that’s up to you. If the effect looks too much , set the Dodge layer blending mode to normal
and pick a brush tool with 50% gray selected .Paint on the things you want to get rid of . Once you’re done . Set the blending mode back to soft light .
Now it’s time to do some burn . Pick a burn tool and paint on the area’s you want to darken and again keep it very subtle. Don’t overdo it. I’m keeping my exposure to 10%. You can also bring down the layers opacity to soften. The effect once you’ve done painting , create a new layer and filled with 50% gray and set the blending mode to overlay.
Again pick the Dodge tool then I’m gonna draw a rim light effect on some of the areas .Start painting on the nose and the area above the mouth and below it maybe some on the glass and the cheek and again .Draw some light effects on the fair light to really stand those up . We’re about to finish this nice photo. There are just few steps left . Create a new layer press ctrl + alt+ shift+ E and go to filter >Camera Raw filter
Here we’re gonna make the color similar to Brandon’s the pink and the Aqua . Again start with adjusting, the white balance to add a blue and a pink color to overall of the image then start playing around with the other settings to your taste.
It doesn’t have to be like mine but the important thing happens in the camera calibration settings and set the blue hue to all the way down to minus 40 and bring up the saturation to 34 and for the red hue bring it up to 45 and the saturation to 13 and I changed the white balance again to see what works best.
Remember that you don’t have to keep the values similar as mine. It’s up to your taste so change it to your liking .
Once you’re finished color grading process click OK. Now we’re gonna mask out the skin to keep the original skin color .This step is so important . I think brands and dust is very often start painting on the skin with a big soft brush and we’re done.
Here’s the before-and-after .
So that we’re done.
